Dark Hollow Falls Trail
📍 Starts Here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Mv9tW5iQ1Kcj1GvF9
🥾 1.4 mile round trip
This short but steep 1.4 mile round-trip trail takes you directly to the cascading 70-foot Dark Hollow Falls, where water tumbles over mossy rocks into crystal-clear pools below. It's a fairly quick hike but does come with a moderate challenge on the way back up due to the elevation gain—so prepare for a bit of a workout!
This trail is perfect for anyone who wants a taste of Shenandoah’s natural beauty without committing to a long hike.
Whiteoak Canyon Upper Falls Trail
📍 Starts Here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/aVmBAfZGukHsFJsSA
🥾 4.6 miles round trip
Whiteoak Canyon Upper Falls Trail is a must-hike for waterfall lovers in Shenandoah National Park. This moderately challenging trail covers about 4.6 miles round-trip and rewards you with views of the Upper Falls, a stunning 86-foot cascade tumbling over the rocky cliffside.
Unlike some shorter waterfall hikes in the park, Whiteoak Canyon’s trail requires a bit of endurance. Just be prepared for some rocky terrain and bring plenty of water, especially for the uphill return. With its lush forest, foot bridges, and spectacular views, Whiteoak Canyon is unforgettable.
Stony Man Trail
📍 Starts Here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/zaJQBtCVVJRoAWhv9
🥾 1.6 miles round trip
Stony Man Trail is a short and rewarding hike that offers some of the best panoramic views in Shenandoah National Park. This is my favorite hike to take people to & to climb myself!
This easy 1.6-mile loop trail takes you up to Stony Man’s rocky summit, where you’re treated to sweeping vistas of the Shenandoah Valley, Massanutten Mountain, and the surrounding Blue Ridge peaks. The trail is well-marked and doesn’t require much effort, making it a perfect choice for families, casual hikers, or anyone who wants a quick mountain escape.
What makes Stony Man extra special is that you get incredible views with minimal effort—ideal if you’re on a time crunch but don’t want to miss out on the scenery. It’s especially stunning at sunset!
Luray Caverns

Luray Caverns is an awe-inspiring natural wonder near the Shenandoah Valley, known for its massive underground chambers, impressive stalactites, and jaw-dropping rock formations.
As the largest caverns in the eastern United States, Luray Caverns offers visitors a chance to wander through cathedral-sized rooms filled with towering columns, delicate crystal-clear pools, and the world’s only "Stalacpipe Organ," which plays music using the cavern’s natural formations.
The caverns are well-lit and easy to navigate, making this a family-friendly adventure. This is my favorite thing to do in Shenandoah, it is seriously incredible and worth the money!!
