5 Fun Things to Do during Spring in Richmond, VA

Whether you're from here or visiting, here are 5 fun things you can do in Richmond, VA this spring!

  1. Member Mondays

Every month the Virginia Museum of History & Culture host 'Member Mondays' to all of their members at the Virginia House. There is a live jazz band and you can bring your own picnic. They also have cider and wine and cheese boards available for purchase. If you're not a member you can come at $5 a ticket with someone who is a member.

2. Fan Arts Stroll

During the month of May, the Fan neighborhood allows artists and musicians to set up in front of their homes and along the sidewalk for the Fan Arts Stroll. You can stroll, listen to music, and buy art at your own pace.

3. Go to a Flying Squirrels game

Our local AA Minor League baseball team called the "Flying Squirrels" start their season in Spring and ending in mid-September. You can catch a game at The Diamond starting with General Admission for $10. It is so fun to watch and the crowd gets really into it!

4. Riverrock Festival

Riverrock is the nation's largest outdoor sports and music festival and it takes place right here in Richmond in May. You can eat, drink, listen to music and watch outdoor sports all weekend.

5. Richmond Ivy Soccer game

This is the first season for our new women's Richmond Ivy SC, which plays in the United Soccer League's (USL) pre-professional W League. Their season kicks off in Spring and ends in the Summer. We loved going to these games, as our team is really good and the fans are wild!
