March in Richmond is a time for long walks outside admiring the beautiful spring flowers and eating al fresco whenever weather permits. Whether you’re a local looking for fun in the Spring or a visitor ready to explore, this one-day itinerary will give you the perfect mix of spring flowers, delicious treats and vibes! *I recommend doing this itinerary after March 21 for the best blooms.
Start your day with pastry from Idle Hands.

This is a cozy, neighborhood bakery that specializes in sourdough bread & pastries. They even have an entire case of vegan treats! 💚 My fav: blackberry danish

Head to Agecroft Hall & Gardens to check out the tulips.

Originally built in the late 15th century in Lancashire, England, Agecroft Hall was dismantled, relocated to Richmond in the 1920s, and meticulously reconstructed along the James River. Today, it serves as a historic museum offering house tours and one of the most stunning tulip collections in Richmond. If you're just there for the flowers, you can opt for a garden ticket instead of the full house tour.

Check out the ethereal cherry blossoms at President's Circle at Hollywood Cemetery.

The cherry blossoms surrounding James Monroe's gravesite are absolutely breathtaking. His birdcage-style tomb, framed by delicate pink blooms, looks nothing short of magical, like something straight out of Rivendell from Lord of the Rings.

This is an award-winning French-inspired restaurant tucked away in Oregon Hill and known for its retro-glam atmosphere and quirky decor. 💚 My Fav: Blessings of Hibernal Solstice

After this day out in RVA, head back home, make yourself a nice hot tea and watch one of your favorite t.v. shows. My favorite show right now is Pachinko (Apple TV)+. It follows the life of Sunja, a Korean woman born in Japanese-occupied Korea in the early 1900s, as she navigates love, sacrifice, and survival across different countries and decades. It is amazing and one of my favorite shows of all time.
